The human body is an electrical being and the health of it depends on the energy currents that run through the body. When the body suffers from a trauma (acne, sprain, fatigue etc ... ) it encapsulates itself in some manner for healing purposes (inflammation, swelling, spasm etc ... ). During a healing crisis such as this normally free flowing currents will circumvent the area of trauma and travel around it. This happens because electrical current always takes the path of least resistance. As a result, the flow of electricity in the traumatized area is significantly reduced or possibly void. At this point, the body as a self-healing organism is not recovering optimally.
Coupled with a trauma and a healing crisis, the details of the body’s needs are now more severe. In order to return to a homeostatic condition the body must regenerate and heal itself. This process begins within the body at the cellular level. The injured cells need increased oxygen, protein synthesis, ion exchange and adenosine triphosphatase (ATP). The polarity of the cells must be re-balanced, waste and toxins must be eliminated quickly and the absorption of nutrients and reduction of microbes is essential.

What is Logic?

What is Bio-impedance?
Bio-impedance is rapidly gaining popularity in a wide field of bio-research and clinical applications including investigations into skin hydration, dental decay, body fat content, tissue ischemia, electrode / gel performance, food freshness, vegetable or tree growth.
Bio-impedance is a non-destructive technique, which makes use of low-level electrical signals such as those that are already present in biomaterials. Accurate measurement of the impedance of biomaterials over a broad frequency range yields valuable information about the electrical properties of the material. Analysis of these measurements can provide valuable diagnostic information, which may be used, for example, for checking organ integrity during transplants or for tumor investigations. In addition, the study of frequency related phenomena as a function of temperature is regularly used in the laboratory testing of biomaterials.
Research studies are frequently performed directly on live subjects, for example the study of skin impedance to determine tissue-healing rates or to examine the effects of creams and lotions.

Why use an alternating current to measure the impedance of a biological tissue?
Essentially for two reasons:
Biological tissue is an ionic conductor: it is known that electrical conduction in a material occurs through charge carriers, which may be electrons, such as is the case for metals, free ions in suspension in solutions, as is the case for biological tissues.
If a direct current is passed through an ionized solution, the well-known phenomenon of polarization occurs, i.e. very rapidly at the level of each electrode a double layer of ions is deposited which acts as an insulator and prevents the current from passing. Therefore, a direct current cannot be used to measure the resistance of such a conductor.
Because it is a heterogeneous conductor: i.e. it is composed of both resistive elements and non-capacitive elements diversely associated. Whereas the resistive elements allow the alternating current to pass whatever its frequency, the capacitive elements allow the alternating current to pass only if it has a higher frequency.

Why is electrolyte cream important?
Special characteristics of electrolyte are very important because they reflect the type of treatment benefits your client will receive. Often misunderstood, the ion composition of electrolyte merits special consideration. The electrolytes developed, have a multi purpose task, just to name a few to begin with:

Basic therapeutic Principles
It is important to also keep in mind that the really vital factor in the treatment is the response of the organism. According to AD Speransky it is not a stimulus but the nature of the response to that stimulus that counts.
In his study of the nature of disease, Speransky explained how, after years of research, he became convinced that, studying the process of disease, the traditional subdivision of the nervous system into central, peripheral, sympathetic, etc. had no justification. He showed in many experiments that, from any point in the nervous system, it was possible to bring into action nerve mechanism, the functioning of which terminated at periphery, producing changes of a bio-physic-chemical character. He developed the thesis that any nerve point, not excluding peripheral nerve structures, could become convinced that, studying the process of disease, the traditional subdivision.

Why does the Algonix work with micro current?
Stimulation with micro-currents (mA) is also called bio stimulation or bio electric therapy because it can stimulate cell physiology and growth.
In a study with important implications for electro therapy using micro current, Cheng and Alt (1982) verified the effects of electric currents of varying intensity on variables crucial to the healing process. The production of ATP (i.e. the production of cell energy) increased by approx. 500%, while amino acid transport increased by 30-40% over control levels.
When currents were increased up to the milliamp level, the production of ATP stopped, amino acids decreased by 20-73% and protein synthesis was reduced by 50%. These trials suggest that high (milliamp) currents inhibit the healing process while micro-currents help it.
Further research on isolated tissues or cells in culture showed that the intracellular ATP resynthesis rate, the protein synthesis rate and DNA replication increase as a direct result of the electric stimulation of the human fibroblast.

What does it do?

The decrease in potential action or the increase in potential voltage are generated by ion concentration factors inside the nerve fibers relating to the interstitial fluid ions.
