In the last years there has been a great impulse to the use of diverse systems of controlled exfoliation with the final objective to favor tissues regeneration with the recovery of their functionality and aesthetic aspect. This is the case of the so-called peelings that can be chemical or physical, superficial or deep. Their indications depend to a great extent of the characteristics of each particular case. The advantages of some methods over others is evident when the therapeutic objective is the same. It is at this point where the virtues of a Physical Peeling or Microdermabrasion performed through the action of aluminum oxide microcrystals become patent.
The success of this therapeutic modality is based in the treatment's progressive results, respecting the physiological times for tisular reconstruction after the performed abrasion. Such times depend fundamentally on the depth of the work performed, the regenerative capacity of the treated area and diverse factors that may influence the genesis of new tissues.
The MEDIC ABRADER is an electromedical equipment for microdermabrasion, used to perform deep or superficial peelings. Three pre-set programs potentiate its action, as well as treatment results.
There are two mechanisms acting in MEDIC ABRADER:
The equipment generates a vacum that produces tension, decompression and mobilization of different skin layers; this acts as a fibroblastic stimulation in the treatment area.
At the same time, the equipment impacts the skin with microcrystals, producing erosion and causing a gradual exfoliation. These two actions can be described as follows:
1. Dermo-mobilization: Consists in the mobilization of the tissues’ contents, produced by a negative pressure or vacum, and it is patent through a fold in the treated tissues. Its decompressing action is extrememely beneficial, favouring subcutaneous microcirculation. It also stimulates fibroblastic
activity and helps regulating the dermic structure. An important increase in the nutritive elements and oxygen available also increases the local metabolism rate.
2. Dermabrasion: Consists in the erosion of the treated tissue (epidermis or epidermis/dermis) by means of the impact of microcrystals with variable speed and flow, depending on the case. These variations are in direct relation with the level of negative pressure or vacum, which will be selected by the professional according to the characteristics of the affection to be treated.
Three different levels of abrasion allow the Professional to perform a controlled exfoliation, achieving a regeneration of the treated tissues and the recovery of their functionality.
1) LIGHT PEELING
This proceeding consists on a superficial dermoabrasion. It is indicated in photoaged or hyperseborrheic skins, acne sequels, superficial dyschroas, small stretch marks, expression grooves, etc. In these cases a dermopolish is performed on the treatment area.
2) DEEP PEELING
This treatment consist on a deep peeling, and it is of exclusive medical use. As a consequence of this procedure a bleeding is produced, that can be light or intense and indicates the presence of the vascular dermis. This is indicated in scars and deep stretch marks, sequels of acne, varicella or herpes, etc.
3) TREATMENT FREE
This program allows to perform a superficial or deep peeling. To work with Treatment Free, select Program N° 3 – Free Treatment; this program offers the freedom to work with one or two motors, and select the treatment time according to the acting Professional's criteria.
